PERFORMING ARTS | DANCE | VIDEO ART

There are words without meaning—yet they carry thoughts we all have. They pass through our minds every day, every moment. Some are thoughts we long to share but cannot. Others flow freely, effortlessly spoken. But words alone are not always enough. Sometimes, understanding goes beyond language. We feel it in our bodies, in our hearts, in the spaces between the words.

I was born in Athens in 1996. Before my studies, I was a member of the young musical company for teenagers in Greece called “On Stage” under the direction of Katerina Douma. In 2017, I attended a three-year professional dance program at the Higher Professional Dance School “Aktina.” To further my education, I participated in a brief course in Video Art at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where I became acquainted with performance art and video dance art. In 2023, I initiated teaching expressive movement techniques and contemporary dance exercises to the Contact Improvisation community in Luxembourg, including the Wednesday Night Fever at MUDAM museum. Since February 2024 I’ve been a member of LUCODA - Luxembourg Collective of Dance. I participated in several dance workshops and classes, including the Gaga technique, Hofesh Shechter, Graham technique, Cunningham technique, Limon and Release technique, Contact Improvisation, Movement and Speech, Dance Theatre, Movement Combined with Music, Improvisation and Composition, Choreography and Composition. Since graduating, I have taught at various studios in Greece and Luxembourg. Currently, I am a part of a children’s theatre residency in Rotondes, under the direction of Andrea Buzzetti, member of the La Baracca – Testoni Ragazzi company.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT

As an interdisciplinary artist, I seek to uncover the raw and authentic human experience, confronting the complexities of identity, vulnerability, and connection. Through dance, performance art, and innovative technologies, my work navigates the delicate balance between the physical and emotional realms, visible and invisible, natural and technological. I am drawn to the fragility of the human condition, the courage required to embrace one's truth, and the ongoing dialogue between the self and the external world.

My creative process is rooted in vulnerability and transformation, with a constant desire to confront discomfort and transform it into strength. Whether through movement, visual art, or technology, my art aims to transcend the boundaries between performer and audience, inviting moments of genuine connection and shared understanding.
