nudity/ogygia.

“Nudity/ Ogygia" it’s the recreation of the video installation “NUDITY”. In November of 2025 this piece will turn into an immersive performance that explores themes of vulnerability, healing, and self-acceptance. It will be presented as a work-in-progress piece with the support of Luxembourg Collective of Dance in “3 DU TROIS” cultural event at TROIS C-L | Maison in November (2025).

The installation combines visual media, performance art, clay art and interactive elements to create a contemplative space for the audience.

Conceptual Themes:

  • Healing &Acceptance: aims to promote healing by encouraging viewers to embrace their own nakedness, both physically and metaphorically.

  • Vulnerability: confronts societal taboos and discomforts around nudity. This vulnerability is a catalyst for deeper introspection and dialogue about body image, identity, and societal expectations.

  • Multi-Sensory Experience: Allows visitors to engage with the artwork on visual, emotional, and intellectual levels, fostering a deeper understanding and connection with the themes presented.

Content: The video displays various naked body parts, emphasizing the diversity and beauty of the human form. The imagery is accompanied by evocative text, which may include poetry, personal reflections, or philosophical thoughts related to the themes of vulnerability and healing. The performer will be present in the installation space, facing the large screen. The performer uses clay as a complementary element to the performance symbolising the art of openness , vulnerability and transformation.

Purpose: This visual element serves as a central focus, inviting viewers to confront and reflect on societal norms and personal beliefs regarding nudity and body image. The performer's presence emphasizes the act of witnessing and experiencing the artwork, mirroring the audience's role in observing and internalizing the themes presented.
